The Zaghawa Union Australia is a community-led organisation dedicated to uniting, supporting and empowering members of the Zaghawa community across Australia. Founded on the principles of unity, service, cultural preservation and social responsibility, the Union serves as a platform for community engagement, advocacy and collective progress.

We are committed to preserving and celebrating the rich cultural heritage, traditions, and values of the Zaghawa people while fostering a strong sense of belonging for current and future generations. Through educational, cultural, social, and community initiatives, we aim to strengthen connections within our community and contribute positively to the multicultural fabric of Australian society.

Under the leadership of Chairperson Musab Hassan and a dedicated team of community leaders, the Union actively advocates for peace, justice and humanitarian support for those affected by conflict and displacement in Darfur and Sudan. We work to raise awareness of critical humanitarian issues, support affected families, and engage with government, community and humanitarian partners to promote meaningful action and lasting change.

اتحاد الزغاوة في أستراليا هو منظمة مجتمعية يقودها أبناء المجتمع، تُعنى بتوحيد ودعم وتمكين أفراد مجتمع الزغاوة في مختلف أنحاء أستراليا. وقد تأسس الاتحاد على مبادئ الوحدة، والخدمة، والحفاظ على التراث الثقافي، والمسؤولية الاجتماعية، ليكون منصةً فاعلةً للمشاركة المجتمعية، والمناصرة، وتحقيق التقدم الجماعي.

ونلتزم بالحفاظ على التراث الثقافي الغني لشعب الزغاوة والاحتفاء به، بما يشمله من عادات وتقاليد وقيم أصيلة، مع تعزيز الشعور بالانتماء لدى الأجيال الحالية والقادمة. ومن خلال المبادرات التعليمية والثقافية والاجتماعية والمجتمعية، نسعى إلى تعزيز الروابط بين أفراد مجتمعنا والمساهمة بصورة إيجابية في النسيج المتعدد الثقافات للمجتمع الأسترالي.

وتحت قيادة رئيس الاتحاد مصعب حسن، وبمساندة فريقٍ متفانٍ من القيادات المجتمعية، يواصل الاتحاد جهوده في الدعوة إلى السلام والعدالة وتقديم الدعم الإنساني للمتضررين من النزاعات والنزوح في دارفور والسودان. كما نعمل على رفع الوعي بالقضايا الإنسانية الملحّة، ودعم الأسر المتأثرة، والتعاون مع الجهات الحكومية والمؤسسات المجتمعية والشركاء الإنسانيين من أجل تعزيز العمل الهادف وإحداث تغييرٍ إيجابيٍ ومستدام.
